Invitation to media - Louis Villeneuve to announce Government of Canada support for business in Estrie region affected by tariff situation

VALCOURT, QC, May 12, 2026 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Government of Canada is taking action by supporting businesses as they diversify their markets in order to reduce risk, strengthen their economic resilience and consolidate their competitiveness to help them face tariff pressures.

It is in this context that Louis Villeneuve, Member of Parliament for Brome–Missisquoi, will announce CED funding for a business in the aluminum industry under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI).

The announcement of this CED financial contribution will be made on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED.
