Invitation to media - Bienvenu-Olivier Ntumba to announce Government of Canada support for two businesses in Montérégie region affected by tariff situation

BELOEIL, QC, May 8, 2026 /CNW/ - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Government of Canada is taking action by supporting businesses as they diversify their markets in order to reduce risk, strengthen their economic resilience and consolidate their competitiveness to help them face tariff pressures.

It is in this context that Bienvenu-Olivier Ntumba, Member of Parliament for Mont-Saint-Bruno–L'Acadie, will announce CED funding for two businesses in the aluminum industry under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI).

The announcement of this CED financial contribution will be made on behalf of the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED.
