Investeco Capital launches private equity fund focused on sustainable food companies

TORONTO, Jan. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Investeco Capital, Canada's first investment company to be exclusively focused on fast-growing environmental sectors, is pleased to announce the first close of the Investeco Sustainable Food Fund, L.P. This Fund will focus primarily on high-growth, expansion-stage private food companies in the natural and organic food sector. Investeco Capital, the manager of the Fund, will work closely with portfolio companies to help drive their strategic plans over the life of the Fund and realize returns for its investors. The Investeco Sustainable Food Fund is one of just 14 North American GIIRs Pioneer Funds, which demonstrates the Fund's commitment to investing in companies that make a positive impact on health and sustainability.
