TORONTO, June 10, 2016 /CNW/ - canfitpro will bring together global experts on fitness, nutrition and healthy living in downtown Toronto August 10 to 14, 2016 as part of the 2016 canfitpro world fitness expo. The annual event attracts over 16,000 fitness professionals, business owners and fitness enthusiasts, making it the largest fitness-education event in the world.

Before then, the expo presenters are available to demonstrate the latest fitness trends and share their expertise on fitness and wellness topics. 

Some highlights include:

And, it's sped up to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined. Aurora fitness instructor Juli Baker can show you the moves and talk about low-impact strengthening fusion fitness craze.

Celebrity fitness tips (Tommy Europe & Eric the Trainer): Find out the latest moves and shortcuts to get a Hollywood physique in time for the summer months. Tommy Europe offers ideas to shed the final 10 pounds. Eric the Trainer brings his unique 'movie ready' approach to training – focusing on resistance and mat work.

Yoga for PTSD (Shaye Molendyke): Yoga for Warriors is adapted for people affected by trauma. Molendyke is a military spouse and former Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force Reserves in Florida. Yoga Fit for Warriors focuses on using meditation to re-set the nervous system to help address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. 

Combatting the obesity epidemic, why diets don't work (Dr. Yoni Freedhoff): Dr. Yoni Freedhoff is a family doctor and assistant professor and obesity researcher at the University of Ottawa. He is also founder of Ottawa's non-surgical Bariatric Medical Institute, author of The Diet Fix. Dr. Freedhoff can discuss why Canadians are not realizing success with the current diet mindset. He shares his common sense combination of disciple discipline and rewards for diet success.

Optimizing your time to achieve fitness goals (Harley Pasternak): Hollywood trainer and nutritionist Harley Pasternak, will share strategies to build fitness and healthier eating into our busy daily routines. Pasternak provides tips to build physical activity into almost every daily task. He also offers suggestions to recharge and eat well while maintaining a multi-faceted schedule.  

The opportunities of an aging world (Colin Milner): Colin Milner, CEO of the International Council on Active Aging, focuses on the health benefits of staying active over the age of 55. Milner can speak to the new outlook of older adults who are enjoying a longer active lifespan than previous generations – opening up new ways to contribute and spend time (world travel, employment, family connection, learning new sports, hobbies).
