    Timothy's and Habitat for Humanity partner to support coffee growing
    communities
    

TORONTO , Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Timothy's World Coffee and its customers are helping to build homes, strengthen coffee growing communities and eliminate poverty housing as they celebrate the Fourth Annual LatteBené day on October 1, 2009 . On this day, the money from all LatteBené sales will go directly to Habitat for Humanity's Global Village Program, giving back to the countries and communities in which Timothy's LatteBené beans are responsibly sourced.

Timothy's has been committed to environmental and social responsibility for over 30 years. Made from 100 per cent Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee, the LatteBené is just one example of Timothy's wide selection of ethical coffees from around the world.

"Timothy's is recognized in the coffee community as a leader in social and environmental responsibility," says Linda Smithers , an advisor to Timothy's on responsibly sourced coffee beans. "Important sustainable coffee practices such as those supported through the Rainforest Alliance program benefit present and future generations of farmers, consumers and wildlife."

Timothy's World Coffee aims to raise $30,000 for the Global Village Program through this year's LatteBené Day. Canadians can support the program by visiting their local Timothy's restaurant.
