Interview and Photo Opportunity - Experience BMW Group's product depth before the auto show begins
From BMW i to BMW M to MINI, BMW Group Canada showcases industry-leading innovation, luxury and pure driving pleasure.
RICHMOND HILL, ON, Jan. 11, 2016 /CNW/ - BMW Group Canada will have seven Canadian premiers at the Montreal International Auto Show this year, and several of those vehicles will be on display for local media the afternoon before press day. The exclusive BMW M4 GTS (only 50 models will be available in Canada), the all-new flagship BMW 7 Series, and the MINI Clubman are Canadian premier vehicles available for early inspection, as is the innovative BMW i8.
Media are invited to shoot photos and video and to learn about these products from BMW Group experts, including special guest Carsten Pries from BMW M in Munich. With the heart-stopping and highly exclusive BMW M2 and track-oriented, high-performance special edition BMW M4 GTS being seen for the first time in Canada, BMW M is expected to cause a buzz at this year's show. Canada is the fourth-largest BMW M market globally, and driving enthusiasts anxiously await the arrival of these two models in the spring.
The all-new BMW 7 Series is luxury redefined. It features industry-leading innovations such as Gesture Control – a feature which enables the driver to manage certain vehicle functions with simple hand movements – and represents a quantum leap in luxury and refinement. With an interior that equates to first-class air travel, the new 7 Series offers numerous photo and video opportunities. For example, rear-seat Executive Lounge seating reclines, offers a foot rest and a laptop table for work on the go.
The all-new MINI Clubman and Convertible are two models based on the brand's new vehicle architecture. The Clubman features rear barn doors and an undeniably premium interior environment, while the Convertible speaks to warmer weather with the offer of open-air driving.
BMW i is a comprehensive concept for sustainable and future-oriented mobility. With visionary vehicles featuring extensive use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic, BMW i offers two remarkable models. First is the BMW i3, a car for city driving that makes use of sustainable materials, including eucalyptus wood and naturally tanned leather throughout the interior. The second is the world's most-progressive sports car, the BMW i8. At a single glance, the i8 attracts attention thanks to its spectacular scissor doors, drawn-out lines and 'black belt' that starts at the hood and wraps around the body shell to the rear.
