iNTERFACEWARE and Caristix aim to eliminate integration vendor lock-in
First-of-its-kind Converter Provides Point-and-Click Migration From One Interface Engine to Another.
TORONTO, Feb. 19, 2014 /CNW/ - iNTERFACEWARE, a leading integration engine provider, today announced it has partnered with Caristix, a leading healthcare integration software provider, to support the development and production of the first-ever interface converter. This new Caristix technology, which is now available as a beta release, allows users to automatically migrate interfaces from the Mirth Connect interface engine to iNTERFACEWARE's Iguana integration engine.
Unlike past efforts that promise a "more-friendly" integration landscape or result in the creation of yet another regulatory task force, iNTERFACEWARE and Caristix are excited about offering a tangible solution to the market.
"It may seem odd for an interface engine provider to partner with someone who's making it easier to convert both to-and-away from any one integration solution," said Eliot Muir, CEO, iNTERFACEWARE. "The strength of both of our organizations however, is that we share the goal of dramatically reducing integration time and effort. By partnering with Caristix, we're helping to ensure consumers are free of vendor lock-in and able to pursue integration solutions that best reflect their needs and environments."
While the Mirth Connect to Iguana converter is the first to be released by Caristix, there are already plans for more converters in the future. "We're vendor neutral when it comes to integration engines," explained Stéphane Vigot, CEO, Caristix. "We develop solutions that enable interface analysts to reduce interface delivery time by a remarkable 50-80%. We partnered with iNTERFACEWARE on our first converter because we share the same mandate of simplifying how organizations - and analysts - approach and deliver connected healthcare. "
Both iNTERFACEWARE and Caristix will have representatives at this year's annual HIMSS conference in Orlando (Booth: #2229) where they will be discussing their respective integration solutions. "It's an exciting time for integration," explains Muir. "With Caristix's converter and products simplifying the migration process, I think we're finally going to see an end to the outdated, underperforming interfaces that plague our industry. I, for one, look forward to the day when interfaces are assessed not by the headaches associated with replacing them, but the value they are providing to their organizations."
