KINGSTON, ON, Nov. 13 /CNW/ - Dr. Roger Skinner, Regional Supervising Coroner for East Region, Kingston Office, today announced that an inquest will be held into the death of Dwight Maxwell.
Mr. Maxwell, 65, died on July 13, 2008, at the Regional Hospital of Kingston Penitentiary. The circumstances of his death require that an inquest be held.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Maxwell's death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last one day.
The inquest will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour Complex, 53 Yonge Street, Kingston. Dr. Gordon Watt will preside as inquest coroner. Counsel to the coroner has not yet been assigned.
