South Okanagan Wine Store to Relocate, Expand & Cohabitate
OLIVER, BC, Nov. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Inniskillin Okanagan Estate Retail store will soon have a new home, having outgrown its current longstanding location on Mariposa Road. Strong growth and increased popularity mean a new, larger store is required to meet the needs for increased wine promotion and retail sales.
The end of November will mark the closing of the existing Inniskillin retail store to make way for an exciting new, shared location adjacent to Jackson-Triggs in Oliver. The new store will launch in early 2014 and promises an expanded, interactive and customer-centric experience that is a one-stop shop for both the Inniskillin and Jackson-Triggs Okanagan brands.
This new facility will lend itself to wine tastings, and food & wine pairing experiences, with an eye to becoming a must-visit, tasting and retail experience at the gateway of the South Okanagan.
The existing Jackson-Triggs retail store will remain open throughout the expansion plans. Inniskillin Okanagan staff will be there to greet you at the re-opening in the Spring at the new location.
Retail sales for Inniskillin remain available via their website at www.inniskillin.com. A selection of Inniskillin wines is also available for purchase through the Great Estates of the Okanagan website at www.greatestatesokanagan.com or by telephone sales at 250.498.4500.
Winery Production
At present, Winemaker Sandor Mayer is working on the 2013 vintage. We are currently reviewing Inniskillin Okanagan's full wine production and requirements to determine the most ideal locations for the future. Sandor has already started making some Inniskillin wines at Constellation Cellars, Oliver located on Tucelnuit Drive. The equipment at this larger, state-of-the- art winemaking facility ranks with the best in the world and the quality of the wine can only be enhanced at this new location. Ultimately this would give us the best of both worlds, with the ability to continue making high quality wines in both larger and smaller scale production lots.
Further final details will be announced as they are completed.
