Industry leader Keith Gurtler joins Avison Young in Boston
Office leasing and investment sales specialist becomes Principal
BOSTON, MA, Aug. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - Rick Kimball, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Boston office, announced today that leading commercial real estate broker Keith Gurtler has joined Avison Young in Boston.
Effective immediately, Gurtler, an office leasing and investment sales specialist, joins Avison Young as a Principal. Gurtler will continue to work in his specialty areas of office tenant representation, landlord representation and investment sales. He will complement the established suburban brokerage team of Jack Kerrigan and Steve Cook. Gurtler was most recently Executive Director of the capital markets group at Cushman & Wakefield in Boston.

Gurtler brings to Avison Young 17 years of real estate experience in Boston, focusing primarily on the Route 128 inner and outer suburban office and R&D markets. Gurtler started his real estate career in 1996 with the Trammell Crow Company (formerly Fallon Hines & O'Connor) before joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2006 as a Senior Vice-President.
During his career, Gurtler has represented numerous corporate clients in Massachusetts and worldwide in the leasing and sales of office, industrial and R&D space. He has been involved in thousands of transactions with an aggregate value of more than $3.5 billion. Gurtler holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, and is involved with several charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society.
