In the Money with Amber Kanwar Wins Gold at the 2026 Signal Awards
Independent Canadian investing podcast takes Gold in Money & Finance and Bronze in Business People & Entrepreneurs Shaping Culture, less than two years after launch and nearly 3 million listens
TORONTO, Oct. 21, 2026 /CNW/ -- In the Money with Amber Kanwar has won two honours at the fifth annual Signal Awards: Gold in Money & Finance and Bronze in Business People & Entrepreneurs Shaping Culture.
The Signal Awards recognize the podcasts that define culture. In the Money was named a finalist alongside some of the biggest names in business and finance podcasting, including Prof G and Mrs. Dow Jones.
Launched in January 2025 by veteran business journalist Amber Kanwar, In the Money is a twice-weekly investing podcast and newsletter featuring candid conversations with top fund managers, CEOs and market strategists. In under two years, the show is approaching 3 million podcast listens across YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other platforms.
"When I left a 15-year career in broadcast to build this show on my own, the bet was that Canadian investors wanted smart, independent, no-nonsense conversations about their money," said Amber Kanwar, host and founder of In the Money. "Taking Gold in Money & Finance, in a category with the best finance podcasts in the world, tells us Canadian financial journalism can compete on any stage. This belongs to our listeners and to a small but mighty team that punches far above its weight."
In the Money combines Kanwar's background as financial journalist with her access to Canada's most influential leaders and investors. Guests have included Prime Minister Mark Carney, "Big Short" investor Steve Eisman, Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel and economist David Rosenberg.
The Signal Awards are reviewed by the Signal Awards Judging Academy, a collective of podcast industry leaders, and present Gold, Silver and Bronze honours in each category.
