TORONTO, June 26, 2018 /CNW/ - In celebration of Pride month, Olympic figure skater and gold medalist Eric Radford and Toronto agency, A Plus Creative Inc. released a short video entitled, "I Was Born for This".
The short video posted to Instagram, shows Radford delivering a commanding performance on ice, while proudly toting a rainbow flag. The video celebrates Pride and seeks to inspire and unite the community. Radford's passion for his craft and for the cause was palpable.
"We wanted to give Eric a platform to demonstrate his point of view through his art. it was magical to witness," said Creative Director Anastasia Adani.
33-year-old Radford was once the only figure skater in Balmertown, a small hockey town in Northern Ontario and was a victim of bullying. Today he is the first openly gay athlete to win a gold medal for Canada in the Winter Olympics and is the face of the Canadian Olympic Committee's "Be You" campaign, dedicated to the eradication of homophobia in sports.
