MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 5, 2012 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012, in the City of Toronto, the Immigration Task Force arrested a male wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for Removal from Canada.
Doodnaught PERSAUD, age 52, was arrested in Toronto without incident.
PERSAUD is a Guyanese National wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant for Removal that was issued by the CBSA in 2010. PERSAUD has several convictions in Canada including Drive While Impaired, Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Fail to Appear in Court, Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Mischief Under and being Unlawfully at Large. He is being held in custody pending his removal from Canada.
The Immigration Task Force is a joint forces unit which includes members from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canada Border Services Agency. This team works closely with other police departments and partner agencies to apprehend high-risk migrant fugitives through team work and the effective use of intelligence.
