IHG® Celebrates the Second Anniversary of the IHG® Game Changing Advantage Program in Canada, Announces Cross-Canada Sport Partnerships

TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2016 /CNW/ - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), one of the world's leading hotel companies, celebrates the second anniversary of the IHG® Game Changing Advantage in-hotel program in Canada and announces multiple sports partnerships nationally. IHG is one of the nation's premier hotel companies with over 176 properties from coast-to-coast.

IHG is a strong supporter of both amateur and professional sports organizations throughout Canada. IHG's Game Changing Advantage in-hotel program assists sports teams while they travel by allowing them to book blocks of rooms and organize their meals. In addition, the program allows the teams' access to private parent lounges when groups stay for tournaments. This unique program caters to coaches, athletes and managers who are responsible for booking group travel and is available at all of IHG branded hotels in Canada.

Since launching in 2014, IHG has made it easy for teams across the country to book stays, coordinate meals and relax between games. To date the program has served thousands of sports athletes across Canada from the grass roots to professional levels.

IHG is partnering with Whitecaps FC2, the United Soccer League (USL) team affiliated with Vancouver Whitecaps FC, as their official host hotel group. IHG is the match night sponsor of WFC2's September 18th match against the Portland Timbers 2. This match is also designated as Youth Soccer Appreciation Night and will feature giveaways for fans from IHG.

IHG is also proud to be the official sponsor of Football Canada, the national governing body of Canadian Amateur Football that holds tackle, touch, and flag football games and events across the country each year.

Holiday Inn® Hotels is the proud sponsor of Team Dunstone Curling for the 2016-2017 season. The young curling team is based in Winnipeg, and fans will be able to see the Holiday Inn logo across all of their uniforms.
