IABC/Calgary Congratulates 2013 Silver Leaf Award Winners
CALGARY, Nov. 4, 2013 /CNW/ - IABC/Calgary is thrilled to recognize and congratulate Cenovus and SAIT for winning this year's IABC Silver Leaf Awards. The winners were:
- Melanie Simmons, SAIT Polytechnic , Merit Award
- Curtis Christian, Cenovus Energy, Excellence Award
"We are so proud of our fellow Calgarians for showcasing their work and representing the local communications community at the national level," says Kathleen Bell, ABC, president of IABC/Calgary. "Our local members have always worked hard to meet the standards of the profession, it's great to see some of this work acknowledged nationally through the Silver Leaf Awards."
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in Canada presented 32 Silver Leaf Awards this year in recognition of outstanding achievement in communication. With over 141 submissions, 12 Awards of Excellence and 20 Awards of Merit have been awarded honouring exceptional communication professionals nation-wide.
The complete winners list is available on the IABC website. The 2013 award winners were recognized on October 20, 2013 in Victoria as part of the IABC 2013 Canada West Region Conference.
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) recognizes excellence in organizational communications at the international, national and chapter levels. Silver Leaf Awards are Canada's national recognition program.
