IABC Silver Leaf Awards Announces 2009 Recipients

CALGARY , Nov. 4 /CNW/ - The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in Canada is proud to present 30 Silver Leaf Awards this year in recognition of outstanding achievement in communications. From more than 150 entries, 10 Awards of Excellence and 20 Awards of Merit were bestowed upon entrants from Vancouver , BC to Halifax , NS, honouring stellar communications professionals nation-wide. "The IABC Canada Silver Leaf Awards recognize excellence in communications and we extend sincere congratulations to the 2009 recipients," says Colleen Ryan and Claire Watson , ABC, APR, 2009 Silver Leaf Awards Co-Chairs. "Each entry is judged by experienced communicators across the country who look for high quality work that has achieved its objectives. All winning submissions go through two panels of judges, ensuring the submission meets exacting standards to receive an award."

The 2009 award winners will be recognized for their achievements at the Silver Leaf Gala celebration, taking place on Sunday, November 8, 2009 as part of the IABC Canada Western Region Conference - Ranges to the Ridge, Guiding our audiences through the communications experience. The conference runs from November 8 - 10, and features some of the most renowned communicators and presenters from across North America and Europe .
