i Evaluate Homes (iE) - Free App for Accurate Property Evaluation Now Available For Smart Phone and On-Line

VANCOUVER, Dec. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Have you ever wanted to know what your home is worth? Launched by a RE/MAX agent, a new app for iPhone, iPad, Android, and on-line, effortlessly estimates the value of your home with a few simple clicks.  Property owners can now obtain a more accurate estimated value of their home in iE.

Current automated web-based home assessment tools only calculate the average price in a given area.  This causes estimates to be inaccurate, sometimes by as much as hundreds of thousands of dollars on a single property. Then there are other apps on the market that only provide an estimate of a home's value if the property is already listed for sale on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  If, however, the property is not currently on the MLS system, no data can be extracted, so no values are given to the home owner.  This would be extremely frustrating for a home owner wanting to know the value of his/her property.

Property owners today not only want instant information at their fingertips, but accurate and reliable information as well so that they can make critical home buying and selling decisions. "The scope of a home evaluation takes time and effort to prepare.  Each property is unique. To do a home evaluation properly, it can't be done instantaneously." says Santiago, creator of iE. iE requires basic information to be inputted by the home owner, such as the address, type of property, square footage, year built, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.  In addition, they have the option to upload up to three photos of their property and to provide comments about the property.

Once this information is submitted, it is sent to a RE/MAX Associate who specializes in the local area so that a more accurate report can be completed. Whenever possible, agents also take the time to view the property first hand so that they can make final adjustments on their home evaluation report.  Reports are emailed to the home owner usually within one business day.
