MONTRÉAL, Nov. 16, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Hydro-Québec Distribution today launched a request for proposals for the purchase of electricity produced by residual forest biomass cogeneration to power the off-grid system in Obedjiwan. The RFP was issued in partnership with the community.
The RFP process involves the following main steps:
The call for proposals document, the registration form for the call for proposals, the bid form and the registration form for the pre-bid conference are available on Hydro-Québec Distribution's Web site: www.hydroquebec.com/distribution/en/marchequebecois.
In its Strategic Plan 2016–2020, Hydro-Québec announced its intention to progressively convert its off-grid systems to more reliable, cleaner, less costly energy sources that reflect the social context of the communities they serve.
