NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2015 /CNW/ -- Hycroft, LLC, a specialty investment bank focused exclusively on the alternative investments market, is pleased to announce that two new members have joined its New York office. Neil Horn and Daniel Neczypor will provide additional depth to Hycroft's private fund capabilities, and both will be involved in originating, managing and distributing the Firm's fund raising mandates.
Neil Horn, Managing Director
Mr. Horn brings to Hycroft over 17 years of investment banking and private capital raising experience. Terry Wetterman, Jr., Managing Director of Hycroft, said, "Neil Horn brings to Hycroft a considerable amount of corporate finance experience and an impressive track record of raising capital from institutional limited partners. He has worked for world class institutions such as Merrill Lynch and First Reserve. Prior to joining Hycroft, Mr. Horn was the Investor Relations Manager at First Reserve where he was responsible for investor relations, fund raising and co-investment activities. Previously, he served as Partner at Mercury Capital Advisors where he was responsible for the origination and execution of private equity fund raisings. Prior, he was a Director in the Merrill Lynch Private Equity Funds Group. He first joined Merrill Lynch in 2000 with the Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking. Mr. Horn began his career in the Leveraged Finance & High Yield Origination Group at Barclays Capital.
Throughout his career, Mr. Horn has originated and worked on fund raising mandates for private equity firms in the U.S., Europe and Asia with some of the top general partners around the globe including: First Reserve, Terra Firma Capital Partners, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, Vornado Capital Partners, Madison International Realty, daVinci Japan Real Estate Partners, SSG Capital Partners, Gryphon Partners and AIG Highstar among many others.
Mr. Horn earned a B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Connecticut.
Daniel Neczypor, Vice President
Mr. Neczypor brings to Hycroft over seven years of investment banking and private capital raising experience. Scott Myers, CEO and Chairman of Hycroft, said, "Dan is an outstanding young professional in the private capital advisory space. He has worked with smaller, more specialized managers as well as some of the largest fund management complexes globally, and we feel fortunate that he has joined our team of professionals at Hycroft."
Prior to Hycroft, Mr. Neczypor was a Vice President at Mercury Capital Advisors where he was responsible for private equity distribution throughout the Northeastern and Midwestern United States. Previously, he was an Associate at Silver Lake where he was a member of the investor relations team. Prior, he was an Analyst in the Jefferies Fund Placement Group and Credit Suisse Private Funds Group.
Mr. Neczypor earned a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University.
