Hundreds of trailers to be sold by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers in Lacombe, AB
The world's largest auctioneer to conduct complete dispersal auction for Lacombe Trailer Sales & Rentals Inc. on September 27, 2012
LACOMBE, AB, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - On Thursday, September 27, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE andTSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will sell hundreds of trailers and other equipment items at an unreserved public auction in Lacombe, AB. In total, more than 250 equipment items will be sold in the auction, as part of a complete dispersal for Lacombe Trailer Sales & Rentals Inc. Bids in the auction can be made in person at the auction site, online in real time at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.
"I've built up this great selection of new and used trailers, trucks and equipment over the past 10 years—including many pieces bought from Ritchie Bros.—it will be amazing to see it all sold in a single day," said Bill Woof, owner of Lacombe Trailer Sales & Rentals Inc. "I have been buying and selling with Ritchie Bros. for close to 40 years so when it came time to sell this time I knew where to go and that they could conduct the auction right on our site, which is very convenient for us. We will pass that same convenience on to buyers and will have convenient and flexible hours at our site for equipment inspection ahead of the auction and load out after the sale."
Founded in 2002, Lacombe Trailer Sales and Rentals Inc. is a premier trailer dealer in the province of Alberta. Bill is selling the operation to spend more time focusing on the operation of another trailer company he owns in Red Deer, AB named Red Rose Trailers, which handles new and used job site, office and well site trailers of all sizes. Bill says he still plans on regularly attending Ritchie Bros. auctions in the future.
Equipment highlights in the September 27 auction include 63 van trailers, 22 step deck trailers, 15 container trailers, 12 hiboys, 9 lowboys, eight reefer trailers, eight equipment trailers and more.
"We can pretty much set up a Ritchie Bros. auction anywhere—all we need is space to set up the equipment and we are good to go," said Jim Rotlisberger, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "Our goal is always to make the auction process as easy as possible for both our sellers and our buyers. On September 27, we will be set-up right on Bill's site with a registration trailer, sound truck for the auctioneer and everything else we need to conduct the auction right there. Bidders can now visit the site to inspect and test equipment, or they can conduct a virtual inspection on our website. At the end of the auction every piece of equipment will have been sold to the highest bidder—all without minimum bids or reserve prices."
Registration to bid is free. For more information about the auction, visit www.rbauction.com or contact the auction site at +1.780.955.2486.
