TORONTO, May 11, 2012 /CNW/ - Today, Babies"R"Us honoured moms by hosting a larger than life baby shower for hundreds of new and expecting moms. Just in time for Mother's Day, "R" Biggest Baby Shower celebrated everything from bump to baby and treated moms to a special day of pampering to show them just how loved and cherished they are.
"With all that moms do from day-to-day, it's important to stop and take time to show them just how appreciated they truly are," said Liz MacDonald, vice president of marketing, Babies"R"Us. "With Mother's Day just days away, today was the perfect occasion to host "R" Biggest Baby Shower and celebrate upcoming and recent arrivals."
Held at a Queensway Cineplex Odeon Cinema in Toronto, the Shower treated moms to mini hand massages and manicures in a relaxing spa, snacks at the Crave Café, great games and gifts galore. All the moms walked away with a gift a bag and many received large giveaways and prizes, such as strollers and car seats. Following the Shower, the ladies were treated to an exclusive pre-screening of the upcoming movie What to Expect When You're Expecting.
Between April 23 and May 6, expecting GTA moms were invited to enter online for a chance to attend the Shower. Of those who entered, six hundred were picked at random and received a free ticket for two so they could share the experience with a friend.
