Howard Stern returns for new season of SiriusXM show, expands to HBO Max

New season kicks off on Monday, September 14

New episodes to air Mondays live on SiriusXM with an adapted streamable version available on HBO Max on Thursdays, starting September 17

TORONTO, Aug. 31, 2026 /CNW/ -- Howard Stern and SiriusXM Canada today announced the new season of The Howard Stern Show, with new shows airing every Monday, starting on September 14. 

For the first time, the "King of All Media" will bring his signature, long-running SiriusXM show to HBO Max by adapting his live SiriusXM show into a streamable episode for HBO Max, along with periodic extras. The Howard Stern Show on HBO Max will debut Thursday September 17, with new episodes releasing subsequent Thursdays.

Since joining SiriusXM for a legendary run of over 20 years, Howard has taken subscribers and fans on an unprecedented journey. He is regularly lauded as the best interviewer of our time, inspiration for a generation of comedy, and a can't-miss listen. During his time with SiriusXM, his fans were along for his climb to network television as a judge on America's Got Talent, and the best-seller list as author of "Howard Stern Comes Again." Critics and fans alike loved Howard's 2022 interview with Bruce Springsteen on HBO Max. Today, Howard's new series on HBO Max takes him to the pinnacle of prestige television and gives his fans a long-desired "seat in the studio" to see what they just heard. As fans hear his live show on SiriusXM, 40 cameras will capture the conversation for a version of the show then adapted into a streamable episode for HBO Max with periodic extras.

Additionally on September 14, Howard will unveil a new lineup for his long-time SiriusXM channel Howard 100, including Wrap Up Wednesday, an expanded version of Howard's Wrap Up Show hosted by Gary Dell'Abate and Jon Hein, plus new ways to hear his multi-decade library of past shows. The Howard Stern section of the SiriusXM app is also expanding to include "Howard Stern Decades" for instant access to Howard's content from, or about, the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's.  

Howard's legions of long-time and new fans never miss a minute of The Howard Stern Show, tuning in to catch all of Howard's comedy, conversations, and commentary with his beloved team including Robin Quivers, Fred Norris and Gary Dell'Abate, the antics of his staff and producers, and regular visits from top celebrities and musicians. Recent guests include Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, Eric Andre, Jack Antonoff, Nikki Glaser, Kate Hudson, Taylor Sheridan, David Spade, Sting & Shaggy, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Eddie Vedder.
