VANCOUVER, March 25, 2013 /CNW/ - Honour House Society will hold its
second Fundraising Gala "A Night for Heroes" on Saturday, June 1, 2013
at the Sheraton Wall Centre.
The gala event will raise funds for Honour House Society to continue to
provide free accommodation to Canadian Forces Personnel, emergency
services and their families while receiving medical treatment in the
Metro Vancouver Area.
"Since opening our doors in 2011 we have provided 900 room stays and
helped 1500 people. There is great demand for the services Honour House
provides and we are proud to be able to give back to our heroes who put
themselves in danger situations on a daily basis to protect us. I am
very excited about our 2013 Gala - and our program which features some
of our heroes and their stories. Also, we will be able to show our
supporters what Honour House has accomplished and how they have helped
make this dream a reality." said Allan De Genova, President of Honour
The Gala will include dinner, a live auction and entertainment. The
first Honour House Gala Fundraiser celebrated the opening of Honour
House, included a live performance by Sarah McLachlan and raised
$225,000 for the charity.
