Hodgins Concludes Spring 2010 Marathon of Auctions

CALGARY, May 4 /CNW/ - Hodgins Auctioneers Inc. (HA:TSX.V) ("Hodgins" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the completion of 25 auctions in the last 29 business days.

Leading off the spring auction season was a major online equipment auction and a Northern Alberta real estate auction. The online auction featured 256 lots of farm and industrial equipment, and had 472 registered bidders.

The live Northern Alberta real estate auction was conducted March 29, 2010. It consisted of 630 acres of land divided into ten parcels. The total selling price was $887,000 including buildings. The raw farmland averaged $812 per acre.

The Spring Auction season concluded with an interesting auction of farm equipment, antiques and collectibles. 948 lots were sold at a Prince Albert, Saskatchewan auction, on May 1, 2010. 749 buyers registered to bid live and online; from more than nine provinces and states. Other auctions in the Spring Marathon included a combination of industrial, agricultural and commercial auctions. They spanned the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and were a mixture of live onsite auctions, exclusively online auctions and hybrid live/online auctions.
