In addition to this unique, once in a lifetime team-building opportunity, corporate teams will have the chance to interact with local sports, media and political celebrities during #TheTourney. Following #TheTourney, teams have an opportunity to attend a corporate mixer while watching the NHL Playoffs during the 60th Season of Hockey Night in Canada.
UPS Corporate Division winners in each city will win a replica Redwood Cup, produced by the same manufacturer that produces and maintains all NHL trophies in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Most importantly, 50% of UPS Corporate Division registration fees will be donated directly to local children's charities, allowing the Canadian corporate community to join UPS in making a meaningful contribution to organizations such as KidSport, Right To Play, NHL team Foundations, and the United Way across Canada.
"We are proud to be the Corporate Division sponsor of this great Canadian event," said UPS Canada President Michael Tierney. "Our priority has always been to strike a balance between financial contributions and hands-on involvement within our community. Play On! does just that; it gives corporations a chance for their employees to be active, have fun, work together and most importantly support a worthy cause."
Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! is the largest sports festival in Canada. The program will involve more games played this summer than all professional sports leagues combined. These wholesome, festive, street hockey events celebrate the imagination and innocence of youth, making kids feel like NHL pros and helping adults feel like kids again.
Anyone can play! For more information, UPS Canada and Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! invite the Canadian corporate community to visit http://www.playon.ca/partners/ups and register a team in advance of the event registration deadline. Your registration is your donation. Space is limited.
