SUBWAY® Canada introduces new avocado and spinach limited time offer just in time for summer
TORONTO, May 31, 2013 /CNW/ - SUBWAY® Restaurants of Canada is offering Canadians two new fresh and healthy menu options, adding avocado and spinach to SUBWAY®'s lineup of sandwich and salad toppings.
A special seasonal limited time offer, avocado and spinach are available beginning June 1st, as topping options at more than 3,000 SUBWAY® locations across Canada, along with a new Turkey & Bacon with Avocado specialty sandwich.
"Summer is the perfect time to enjoy these fresh and tasty healthier topping options Canadians have been looking for," said Kathleen Bell, director of national marketing, SUBWAY® Restaurants of Canada.
"Whether enjoying one of our specialty sandwiches or a nutritious salad, Canadians are always looking for new and healthy ways to take their meal to a more exciting and satisfying level. We also think avocado and spinach make terrific additions to our SUBWAY® breakfast sandwiches," Bell said.

- Avocado is high in monounsaturated fat - the type that raises good HDL-cholesterol and lowers harmful triglycerides without raising harmful LDL-cholesterol

Participating SUBWAY® restaurant locations across Canada are offering spinach as a regular sandwich or salad topping, while avocado is a premium addition for a small additional charge. Both avocado and spinach can be included in breakfast sandwiches as well.
