Known for its mind-body approach to mental health, innovative wellness clinic now open at Yonge and Eglinton, Toronto
TORONTO, Oct. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - Helix Healthcare Group announced today the opening of its second holistic wellness clinic in midtown Toronto, just one year since launching its first facility in Yorkville. The first of its kind in Canada, Helix Healthcare Group bridges West and East Coast styles to offer a unique mind-body approach to achieving long-term mental health. The new location opens today at 164 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto, during Mental Illness Awareness Week (Oct. 4 – 10).
CEO and Co-Founder Mark Rivkin launched Helix Healthcare Group in 2014 with the intention of bringing world-class holistic and restorative therapies to Canada. Rivkin found his ideal partner in Clinical Director and Co-Founder Dr. Jesse Hanson, who has a PhD and a Master's degree in clinical psychology with a specialty in somatic psychology. Upon meeting in California, Rivkin knew Hanson could help thousands of Canadians conquer their individual struggles. Inspired to show others how to address the root causes of illness and change their lives, Hanson brought his West-Coast style of healing to Toronto.
"At Helix Healthcare Group Yorkville, we quickly grew a reputation for breaking the mold when it comes to dealing with mental health issues. We help clients survive personal challenges by addressing the real underlying causes behind addiction, anxiety, depression and more," said CEO and Co-Founder, Mark Rivkin. "A second Toronto sanctuary allows us to continue exceeding the needs of our current clients, while making our services accessible to even more Canadians."
Helix Healthcare Group appeals to anyone seeking self-improvement, with a team of 50 professionals offering more than 10 types of treatments. Following an initial, complimentary consultation, clients work with a select group of professionals who collaborate to pair traditional methods of care with cutting-edge mind-body techniques, tailoring a program suited to each individual.
Composed with a unique blend of individual or group psychotherapy, meditation, hypnotherapy, sound therapy, yoga, massage and acupuncture, each package is customized and typically covered by many group health plans. Helix Healthcare Group is also proud to offer wellness, process and yoga classes to the public at both locations on a weekly schedule.
"It has been incredible to witness just how successful our multi-disciplinary, team-based approach has been in Toronto, after only one year," said Clinical Director and Co-Founder Jesse Hanson. "Clients have really communicated how long they've been looking for this type of support in Canada, and the opening of Helix Midtown will allow our innovative approach to mental health to continue to evolve, helping our clients recover and ultimately rediscover a healthier life."
Helix Midtown is similar in style and size of the original location in Yorkville. Spanning 4000 sq. ft., the space boasts eight individual treatment rooms, two group therapy rooms and one large room for yoga and sound therapy, in addition to warm and approachable lounge and waiting areas. With its second location, Helix Healthcare Group is eager to launch new programming such as foundations training, rhythmic massage and CranioSacral therapy.
