TERRACE, BC, Dec 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, Hawkair is formally announcing the introduction of a new fare class, Ultra Econo. What is Ultra Econo? It's a completely new unbundled fare class. That means Hawkair is now offering a new low fare, in addition to their already existing ones.
Ultra Econo fare is Hawkair's lowest fare ever and completely unbundled. Guests get to choose how and what to pay for, not the airline. The fare includes all fees, taxes and surcharges, and need to be booked early with limited availability. Flight cancellations, bags and any changes have a fee, and the tickets are non-refundable.
Why did Hawkair introduce the unbundled Ultra Econo fare? "The short answer is we respect our guests; in everything we do, we believe in helping people," said Jay Dilley, President of Hawkair. "The longer answer is we introduced this new fare class to give you true options and to build on our trust and transparency. We're not changing or hiding anything; we're giving you the power, we lowered our prices for the simple reason that we wanted the advantage of our guests' choices to reflect in their pockets, not ours."
"If you're looking for unbundled fares, our Ultra Econo is the perfect way for you to pay for what you need, and what you need only," said Jocelyn Lebell, Director of Corporate Services for Hawkair. If you want a low fare with the benefit of a free first checked bag, lower change fees and other benefits, you still have the same choice as before with Hawkair's Value and Flex fares. "In a world of limited options, Hawkair is proud to be giving you more," said Lebell. "We're looking forward to welcoming new guests that want the power and freedom of being unbundled on our aircraft and can't wait to see our valued guests the next time you travel."
