TORONTO, Nov. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Harris Institute, an internationally recognized leader in music industry education, is celebrating 25 years of "Rock Enrolling" by awarding $20,000 in Birthday Bursaries.
Forty students starting the one-year Audio Production Program (APP), Arts Management Program (AMP) or the 20-month double major Music Business Professional (MBP) on March 24, 2014 will each receive the $500 25th Birthday Bursary.
APP and AMP graduates are eligible for full scholarships for degrees in 8 months at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and MBP graduates are eligible for direct entry into Master's Degree programs at UWS with partial scholarships and accommodation bursaries.
In 2013, Harris Institute was ranked the best Media Arts School in Canada, its AMP program achieved a 6th 0% Student Loan Default Rate in 8 years, it was a feature of Toronto's Doors Open Festival , it expanded the partnership with UWS to offer direct entry into MA programs and three Harris Alumni were involved in Miley Cyrus' # 1 Billboard hit "Wrecking Ball".
Harris graduates are in senior positions everywhere from Universal Music Group to Metalworks Studios and Sony/ATV Music Publishing to IMAX Corporation.
