OTTAWA, May 12, 2015 /CNW/ - Halogen Software Inc. (TSX: HGN), a leading provider of cloud-based talent management solutions, today announced the appointment of two software industry veterans — Deborah Besemer and Les Rechan — to the company's Board of Directors.
Having served as President and CEO of BrassRing for more than seven years, Ms. Besemer brings significant talent management industry experience to Halogen's board. Prior to joining BrassRing, she spent more than a decade at Lotus Development and subsequently IBM, where she held the position of Executive Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations. Ms. Besemer has also served on the Board of Directors at six other software companies, both public and private, and has taken an active role in nonprofits that serve women in business, disaster victims, and the technology industry.
As former General Manager of the IBM Business Analytics Division within IBM Software Group, Mr. Rechan adds more than 30 years of global enterprise technology solutions industry experience to the Halogen board. Prior to its acquisition by IBM, Mr. Rechan was the Chief Operating Officer of Cognos, and held a variety of global executive roles with Oracle, Siebel Systems, Cadence Designs Systems, and Onyx Software. Rechan also serves on the board of Cognitive Scale, the Cognitive Cloud Company.
