H1N1 guided meditation - Another tool in the fight against the flu virus
Meditation an ideal complement to vaccination and other defensive measures </pre> <p/> <p><location>MONTREAL</location>, <chron>Nov. 4</chron> /CNW Telbec/ - PeacefulLife.ca, a provider of online downloadable meditations, today launched its H1N1 Immune System Primer Meditation, specifically intended to help empower people in the fight against the H1N1 virus.</p> <p>PeacefulLife.ca's guided meditation is based on the principle that stress and fear reduce the efficiency of an individual's immune system, while relaxation can enhance the immune response.</p> <p>Meditation will not prevent the flu. However, meditation puts the body in a deep state of relaxation and creates the ideal circumstances for the immune system to function at its optimal level. In turn, an optimized immune system is an excellent defence against viruses. Also, the visualization element of this meditation helps to focus on the activities of the immune system in order to fuel its defensive capabilities.</p> <p>"I realize that there is a risk that people will misinterpret what we're doing and I wish to state with absolute clarity: Meditation alone cannot stop a flu virus," said <person>Jackie Roberge</person>, Founder, PeacefulLife.ca. "However, there is more and more medical research (see "References" below) to suggest that regular meditation can lead to health benefits, including helping to stimulate the body's ability to produce antibodies. I feel strongly about using meditation in the fight against the flu because I have personally experienced the immune strengthening benefits of meditation. Furthermore, meditation has zero negative side effects and will likely produce an immediate sense of relaxation and peacefulness," <person>Ms. Roberge</person> added.</p> <p>The H1N1 Immune System Primer Meditation is now available at <a href="http://www.peacefullife.ca">www.peacefullife.ca</a>'s online Meditation Store for <money>$4.97</money>. In standard MP3 format, the meditation may be downloaded to any computer or portable device. The meditation itself is easy to follow, even for beginners. It should be listened to regularly to maximize benefits. PeacefulLife.ca will donate 10% of sales of the H1N1 Immune System Primer Meditation to Montreal's St. Mary's Hospital, Community Cancer Care Centre.</p> <p/> <p>About PeacefulLife.ca</p> <p/> <p>PeacefulLife.ca was founded by <person>Jacqueline Roberge</person> in 2007.
