BROSSARD, QC, July 3, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Groupe Park Avenue has had the wind in its sails since the beginning of the year. After adding Léo Harley-Davidson to its portfolio last March, the group of automobile dealerships is now announcing the acquisition of three new dealerships in Brossard. The Scotti family, who owned the Brossard Jaguar/Land Rover, Volvo and Mitsubishi dealerships, is handing over the reins of these three companies to Groupe Park Avenue, already a well-established business on Taschereau Boulevard in the suburbs of Montréal.
Two family stories
Wishing to sell their companies on Montreal's South-Shore, the Scottis looked to Groupe Park Avenue to acquire their three dealerships comprised of Volvo, Jaguar/Land Rover and Mitsubishi Brossard. To ensure the long-term viability of the business, the family wanted local Québécois interests to take over its dealerships. The family also wanted to leave their South-Shore dealerships in the hands of a suitable and capable buyer. Groupe Park Avenue's strong reputation made it the clear choice as successor. "Groupe John Scotti, and more specifically its Brossard dealerships, is a Quebec-based company that will be handed over to entrepreneurs firmly rooted in Québec", stated John Scotti, President of Groupe John Scotti.
A promising future
Thanks to its expertise, Groupe Park Avenue was the best organization to ensure the continuity and growth of the business. It is the largest luxury vehicle retailer in Québec and will continue to offer related products and services in a territory it already knows very well. With nearly 60 years of expertise and after this latest acquisition, Groupe Park Avenue will now consist of 24 dealerships. Norman E. Hébert, President and CEO of Groupe Park Avenue said that "We are very excited to add new luxury brands to our portfolio with Jaguar/Land Rover and Volvo. At the same time, we are going greener faster with Mitsubishi, which already has many electric vehicles and several new models on the way." Jaguar/Land Rover and Mitsubishi Brossard will retain its name, while Volvo will carry the Park Avenue name.
Strength in numbers
Groupe Park Avenue and the three Scotti Brossard dealerships are well established entities that will benefit from each other's expertise to ensure continued growth. The Scotti team, with 87 employees in all, will remain intact and they will now be able to benefit from an attractive structure in terms of a succession plan, social benefits and various recognition awards, advantages that are offered to all staff members. Groupe Park Avenue will also transfer its values of giving back to the community to the three new additions to the family.
