RIVIÈRE-DU-LOUP, QC, Jan. 28, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Frédéric Lebel, President and CEO of Groupe Lebel, confirms that the Group has officially made a purchase of Cambium Group, which operates primarily in the processing industry of wood. However, the amounts of the transaction remain confidential.
This important acquisition by Groupe Lebel comes as consolidated activities while emphasizing the synergy of intergration of forest operations to finish product cycles.
Mr. Lebel says that following the transaction, Groupe Lebel now has a team of 400 employees who aim to provide products always meet the changing needs of their customers.
Groupe Lebel now operates five sawmills and 8 added values which five are located in Bas-St-Laurent.
Recall that Groupe Lebel has been in business since 1956. The company is creating nearly 400 direct jobs across 10 locations in Bas-St-Laurent. Groupe Lebel is a leading manufacturer of timber in Eastern Canada to be fully vertically integrated, cutting trees to delivery of finish products.
