Senior industry leader joins GreenShield as the organization scales Canada's first integrated payer-provider model and advances its mission of Better Health for All.
TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2026 /CNW/ -- GreenShield, Canada's only national non-profit health care and insurance organization, today announced the appointment of Dave Jones as Executive Vice President & Head of Payer Solutions. The appointment comes as the organization continues to deepen Canada's first integrated payer-provider model and strengthen its focus on delivering solutions that address the needs of its key customer segments. In this role, Dave will lead GreenShield Insurance (Group Benefits and Individual Benefits) and GreenShield Administration (Claims Adjudication, Benefits Administration, and Third-Party Administration).
Dave joins GreenShield at an important stage in the organization's evolution. Building on nearly 70 years in health and dental benefits, GreenShield has expanded through strategic acquisitions, organic growth and purpose-driven innovation to introduce Canada's first payer-provider model, which now serves eight million Canadians. GreenShield's model brings insurance and health care services together to improve access, convenience, integration, and health outcomes for Canadians.
With more than two decades of executive leadership experience in health and group benefits, Dave brings deep industry expertise. As President of Sun Life Health, he led one of Canada's largest health and benefits businesses, helping shape innovative solutions that improved access to care and support for millions of Canadians. Throughout his career, he has played a leading role in advancing the evolution of health and benefits solutions across Canada.
