Former CFO to head Maritime's John Deere Dealer
MONCTON, NB, Dec. 2, 2015 /CNW/ - The Maritime's premiere dealer of John Deere tractors and equipment today announced the appointment of the company's CFO, Tina Sears, as Green Diamond Equipment's (GDE) new Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Sears brings more than 25 years of experience in the business and financial sectors having previously served as Director of Planning for Cavendish Farms.
"Tina has been a part of the GDE family now for 5 years. Her leadership and experience as CFO has been pivotal to our growth in the Maritimes. Her appointment at the helm was a logical next step." said the chairman of the GDE board, Earl Kidston. "In her new role as chief executive, she will lead our team of over 240 employees in delivering the best agricultural equipment in the world to our Maritime customers." said Mr. Kidston
"Tina is a born and bred Maritimer, horse woman and hobby farm owner with ties to the agricultural and farming community in the region. She will bring a unique perspective on how we can better serve our customers." continued Kidston.

GDE was founded in 2007 with the merging of PEI Farm Equipment and Planters Equipment. Now in 2015, GDE consists of 13 locations across the Maritimes. Over the past 8 years, the Green Diamond team has been delivering on its mandate of providing superior products and exceptional service to its communities and customers.
