Great Blue Heron Charity Casino Receives RG Check Accreditation

PORT PERRY, ON, Dec. 21, 2015 /CNW/ - The Great Blue Heron Charity Casino is proud to announce it has been awarded the Responsible Gambling (RG) Check Accreditation.  This accreditation is recognized as the most rigorous RG accreditation program in the world.

Administered by the Responsible Gambling Council, the RG Check accreditation program is based on an RG Index comprising a set of RGC standards. Informed by international best practices, this Index evaluates eight core standards: corporate policies, self-exclusion, advertising and promotion, informed decision making, assisting patrons who may have problems with gambling, access to money, venue and game features, and employee training.

Owned by the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, the casino is managed by the Great Blue Heron Gaming Company, a partnership comprised of Casinos Austria International, the Steiner Group and Sonco Gaming.
