Government of Canada Announces Appointment to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 Français
GATINEAU, QC, March 10, 2014 /CNW/ - Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced the appointment of Troy Myers as Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 for a term of four years, effective March 6, 2014.

- Mr. Myers was first appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 as a member on March 5, 2013, for a four-year term.
 - Mr. Myers has been Chief Librarian and Chief Executive Officer of South Shore Public Libraries in Halifax, Nova Scotia, since 2010. He is an active member of his community and has served on the boards of a number of organizations.
 - Mr. Myers holds a Master of Library and Information Studies degree from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's University in Halifax.
 - Located at Pier 21, a national historic site in Halifax, the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 enhances public understanding of the experiences of immigrants to Canada.
