TORONTO, March 9 /CNW/ - And the winner is... Global's knockout Monday night line-up came roaring back last night. Kicking off the evening, ET and ET Canada won the hour and ruled the red carpet with their post-Oscar(R) coverage. Then, an all-new House crushed the competition and won the night nationally and across the key markets with 2.9 million viewers (Ind. 2+).
Highlights include:

- ET and ET Canada outshone CTV's eTalk and Access Hollywood by 67%
nationally (Ind 2+); 89% in the key Female 25-54 demographic and in
all major markets
- ET beat direct competitor eTalk by 93% nationally (Ind 2+) and across
all key demos
- ET Canada surpassed Access Hollywood by 38% nationally (Ind 2+) and
across all key demos
- Global's entertainment news hour is the clear winner for their
post-award show coverage winning the five biggest award shows of the
year: People's Choice Awards, SAG Awards, Golden Globe(R) Awards,
Grammy Awards(R) and the Oscars
House
- House garnered 1.5 million viewers in the key A18-49 demo
- Saw its strongest episode of the Winter 2010 season
- Grew by 14% for Ind 2+ nationally versus the season-to-date average;
20% for A18-49
- Outperformed the hour's closest competitors CTV's Hiccups (148% 2+;
212% A18-49) and Dan for Mayor (158% 2+; 214% A18-49) nationally
- Beat out CityTV's The Bachelor by 237% Ind 2+; 318% A18-49,
nationally
