Global Growth Assets Inc. (GGAI) announces termination of Global Capital Preservation Fund
TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2014 /CNW/ - Global Growth Assets Inc. (GGAI) announced today its intention to terminate Global Capital Preservation Fund ("the Fund") on or about December 8, 2014. Effective September 26, 2014, the fund will no longer accept additional investments
The decision to terminate the Fund is due to the relatively small asset size and the small number of unitholders.
Unitholders will not be required to pay any redemption fees, sales charges or other fees associated with the termination of the funds.
In accordance with securities legislation, a notice outlining details of the funds' termination will be sent to unitholders of the Fund no less than 60 days prior to the effective date of the termination. Existing unitholders of the Fund have the option to redeem their investments on or prior to the termination date. All units not redeemed prior to the Fund's closure will be automatically redeemed at that time.
GGAI encourages all unitholders to consult with their financial advisors to understand the financial and tax implications associated with redeeming their units of the Fund and to determine the solution that best fits their investment needs.
The termination of the Fund is by no means an indication of the overall health of GGAI. Our commitment to our investors remains our top priority as we look forward to many great things to come in the future.
