Glen Moray Brings Back Chardonnay to the Heart of Speyside with a New Single Malt
"A perfect balance of caramelised fruit, butterscotch, and lingering notes of toasted oak"
ELGIN, Scotland, June 15, 2016 /CNW/ - The Glen Moray Distillery has released the latest expression of its award-winning Speyside Single Malt range: The Glen Moray Classic Chardonnay Cask Finish. This distinctive Speyside Scotch Whisky Single Malt, available in a gift box, was launched in January 2016.
This new Glen Moray release is an unusual offer of a Speyside Malt. With its Chardonnay taste profile, it makes a distinctive and alternative whisky to the normal style of Speyside Single Malt Whiskies.
The influence of the Chardonnay adds body, sweetness and spice to the existing sweet vanilla and light oak flavors of the Elgin Classic, which results in a completely new taste sensation. Graham Coull, from Glen Moray Distillery called the new Speyside Malt, ''A perfect balance of caramelised fruit, butterscotch, and lingering notes of toasted oak".

ABOUT GLEN MORAY
GLEN MORAY is situated in the West End of Elgin, the capitol of Moray, the most northerly of the Speyside distilleries. Being in the Laich O'Moray the distillery benefits from the regions warmer and sunnier micro-climate and by storing everything on-site this allows our Master Distiller to keep a watchful eye over our whisky to ensure it develops a very smooth and well-rounded taste.
With only five distillery managers in the last 100 years, the consistency behind GLEN MORAY ensures it remains one of the most highly-regarded Speyside single malt whiskies.
