Giyani Gold Appoints Luke Vigeant as Head of Communications

OAKVILLE, ON, Oct. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Giyani Gold Corp. (TSXV:WDG) ("Giyani Gold") is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Vigeant as Head of Communications for Giyani Gold.  Mr. Vigeant will lead the efforts of expanding the awareness of Giyani Gold and be a point of contact for Giyani Gold's stakeholders.

Currently based out of Ontario, Mr. Vigeant began his career with IBM Global Business Services, and subsequently has had a number of communication based roles for a variety of technology, hospitality, and consumer facing companies. Mr. Vigeant holds a Bachelor of Information Systems (BIS) with First Class Honours, from St. Francis Xavier University.

Giyani Gold has agreed to a 12-month consulting agreement with Fridgelight Media Inc. ("Fridgelight"), Mr. Vigeant's personal corporation, which will expire on August 31, 2013.  In consideration for the services to be provided, Giyani Gold will pay to Fridgelight a monthly fee of $6,700.  Giyani Gold has also agreed to grant, subject to TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") approval, 100,000 options ("Options") to purchase common shares in the capital of Giyani Gold with an exercise price of $1.30 per common share, which reflects a 4% increase over the closing price of Giyani Gold's common shares on the Exchange on October 15, 2012. The Options will vest over a twelve month period, with 25,000 Options vesting every three months, and will expire on October 16, 2017.
