TORONTO, Sept. 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Here's to you Gino and Jesse, cheers! After racing across three continents, four countries, six provinces, 16 cities, and more than 48,000 kilometres, Hamilton brothers Gino and Jesse are Season 3 THE AMAZING RACE CANADA champions. After successfully finding their matching ski and building on their lead at Whistler Blackcomb in the final Roadblock, Gino and Jess were the fist team to meet host Jon Montgomery at the final Pit Stop, located at Nicklaus North Golf Course in Whistler, B.C., taking home more than one million dollars worth of prizes, including $250,000 in cash, "gas for life" from Petro-Canada, the opportunity to fly for a year anywhere Air Canada flies worldwide in Business Class, and two Chevrolet Colorado Trucks – the 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year. In a nail-biting race to the finish line, Gino and Jesse beat out fellow finalists Brent and Sean and Nick and Matt.
"It seems so surreal but you know what, we never doubted ourselves once," said Gino. "I love my brother."
"He has always been my idol growing up and just to be here on THE AMAZING RACE CANADA and run the race with him is an honour," added Jesse.
"Congratulations to all the teams on a tremendous third season, and of course Gino and Jesse for winning Canada's race of a lifetime," said Mike Cosentino, Head, Programming, CTV Networks and CraveTV. "What an amazing conclusion to an adventure that had us on the edge of our seats all season from the starting line in Québec City to the final mat in Whistler."

On the heels of another incredible season as the second most-watched television program of the year in Canada with an average audience of 2.6 million viewers, casting for Season 4 is now open! As confirmed on last night's live broadcast of the after-show special AFTER THE RACE, fans can go online now at CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada and submit an audition video and application for their chance to join host Jon Montgomery on the road, and compete in the biggest race this country has ever seen. Potential teams are encouraged to showcase their personalities and explain why they want to be part of THE AMAZING RACE CANADA. The deadline for submission is Monday, Nov., 23 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic teams of two who possess a strong personal connection. They must be articulate, competitive, interesting, outgoing, and adventurous. Teams will get the opportunity to participate in Detours, Roadblocks, U-Turns, and other challenges as they endure approximately 28 days of the race in various conditions, environments, and climates.
Auditioning for THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is simple! Here's how:
Step 1
Prepare a short video for a submission that shows us who you are as a team. Why do you want to race together and why do you think you can win? The producers are eager to hear what makes your team tick.
Step 2
Take an up-close picture of the "team", as well as an up-close picture of each individual, and send with the application online.
Step 3
Completely fill out the online application (one per team) and upload the video and photos at CTV.ca/TheAmazingRaceCanada.
If the producers like the audition, they will be in touch!
Among the eligibility requirements that applicants should note about the Race:
- Racers must be at least 19 years of age as of April 1, 2016.
- Racers must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
Last night's episode will encore Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO, and is also now available on demand at CTV GO. Episodes 1–10 are also now streaming on CraveTV™, with new episodes available a week after the broadcast premiere. Previous seasons are also now streaming on CraveTV.
