TORONTO, Jan. 12, 2012 /CNW/ - With only three days to go until the dinner party of the year, the menu is set with an appetizer of red carpet arrivals, before a roast is served courtesy of three-time host Ricky Gervais. This year's award season officially begins with THE 69TH ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBE® AWARDS, airing live across the country Sunday, January 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV (visit ctv.ca to confirm local listings). With GOLDEN GLOBE® recipient Ricky Gervais back at centre stage, even the "sexiest men alive" aren't safe from this Brit's biting brand of humour and no-holds-barred comments.

Celebrity destination E! kicks things off at 5 p.m. ET with COUNTDOWN TO THE RED CARPET: THE 2012 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS, followed by LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET: THE 2012 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS at 6 p.m. ET.
