Gerard Doyle Joins TVO as VP, Revenue and Product Development
TORONTO, Oct. 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, TVO Chief Executive Officer Lisa de Wilde announced Gerard Doyle will be joining TVO November 3 as the new VP, Revenue and Product Development.
"TVO is creating a better world through the power of learning," said de Wilde. "Gerard will be finding new products, new markets and new supporters to finance that important work."
Gerard is joining TVO from the Toronto Star, where he was Director, Digital Audiences and Revenue, and responsible for digital revenues and the product roadmap across all of thestar.com platforms. Previously, Gerard worked as General Manager of Toronto.com, Senior Product Manager with the Star Media Group, and Manager, Publisher Relations with Olive Media.
Gerard brings a unique combination of revenue generation experience in digital media, with product development and a deep understanding of contemporary media business models. Beginning his career as an Editor and then Managing Editor of Toronto.com, Gerard holds a Journalism diploma from Sheridan and a BA from McMaster.
At TVO, Gerard will be responsible for leading the process for developing new products, maximizing philanthropic revenues and sponsorships, and opening up new markets for TVO products in Canada and abroad.
