Who: By-election candidate for Calgary Heritage Jeff Willerton

Calgary Heritage by-election candidate Jeff Willerton (Christian Heritage Party) calls on voters to protect children, especially as this relates to gender identity.

University of Toronto professor Jordan Peterson has publicly stated that gender is bi-modal, not a spectrum; that it is a biological reality, not only a social construct. (1) Jeff Willerton agrees.

The education systems of Canadian provinces are not laboratories for social experiments. Children are impressionable, and they can be misinformed to their own detriment.

In 2010, Health Canada produced two documents relating to sexual variant youth in schools: one was called Gender Identity in Schools (2) and the other, Sexual Orientation in Schools (3). Ontario and Alberta have since adopted sexually-focused curricula based on the theme of these two publications.

It was the Conservative federal government that produced these two documents and they have been acted on by Liberal and NDP provincial governments.

Both documents presume a majority, even a uniformity of professional opinion of the subject. This assumption is incorrect.

The American College of Paediatricians describes the promotion of gender dysphoria, which our education professionals are arguably engaged in, as a form of child abuse. Those who have undergone sex-change operations are 20 times more likely to commit suicide than the general public. (4)

What we need is a federal government that will rescind these documents and ban the promotion of destructive lifestyles to our impressionable youth.
