Game engine developer Voxel Farm sells minority stake to a strategic partner
MONTREAL, QC, Dec. 10, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Voxel Farm Inc., a Montreal-based leader in the development of next generation procedural game engine software, announced that it has sold a minority position of the Company to a strategic partner. The deal is expected to aid the Company in gaining access to the European and Asian gaming markets.
"We are very excited to have been able to conclude the transaction. Our team is excited for the future", said Miguel Cepero, Voxel Farm's CEO.
Voxel Farm is best known for being the voxel-based procedural engine used in the development of Sony's blockbuster title Everquest: Next, which is currently available in a beta version.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed publicly.
IJW & Co. acted as the exclusive M&A adviser to Voxel Farm while Holmested & Associates acted as the legal counsel. Miller Thomson acted as legal counsel to the strategic acquirer.
