TORONTO, May 12, 2014 /CNW/ - G4S Canada is proud to announce the immediate availability of a new upgrade solution for legacy Casi-Rusco access control security systems. Centred around AMAG's existing Symmetry software, this solution allows for an easy migration path from existing Casi-Rusco installations with minimal downtime or additional investment.
Casi-Rusco manufactures systems under the brands Secure Perfect, Picture Perfect and Facility Commander, and has recently announced that support for these systems will be discontinued as of 2020. The G4S upgrade solution is available now for users who are looking to migrate away from this aging product. Several Fortune 100 and Fortune 50 companies have already made the transition.
Symmetry is a leading access control system which is completely flexible, easy to use, and employs the latest software designs and architectures. It is a complete solution for access control where the software and door controllers are designed as one solution by the same team.
"There are a lot of Casi-Rusco users across the country who are looking for the best way forward," said Rob Plume, G4S Canada's Director of Sales and Technology - Client Solutions. "They've invested in a system which the manufacturer is now walking away from. Our solution offers an easy migration to AMAG's advanced Symmetry software platform while preserving the customer's existing card readers, cabling, enclosures, wiring and infrastructure. And AMAG has never orphaned a product in over 40 years of operation."
"It really is win-win for the customer," added Tim Saunders, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, "For a small investment, customers will be able to keep almost all their existing hardware. Their systems will operate virtually without interruption, and will benefit from the additional features of AMAG's Symmetry software platform. Our customers will also be able to rest assured that we will continue to support their system for years to come."
