FT Portfolios Canada Co. announces fund terminations

TORONTO, July 24, 2013 /CNW/ - FT Portfolios Canada Co. ("First Trust"), the manager of First Trust U.S Dividend Portfolio, First Trust Global Capital Strength Portfolio and First Trust Global Balanced Portfolio (collectively the "Funds"), announced today its intention to terminate the Funds once applicable notice has been provided to unitholders. The Funds will be closed to new purchases of units effective immediately and will terminate no later than September 30, 2013.

Unitholders will continue to have the right to redeem their units in the Funds prior to the termination date. All units not redeemed prior to the termination date will be automatically redeemed at that time.
