The new deadline provides interested utilities and technology solutions providers who support them an additional three weeks to complete and submit their nominations for consideration.
Now in their third year, the Excellence in Resourcefulness Awards honors utilities that are shaping the future and demonstrating their commitment to significantly reducing wasted energy and water. Utilities are allowed to submit nominations for different categories, including:
- Excellence in Resourcefulness—Energy: This Excellence in Resourcefulness award recognizes either an IOU or municipal's ability to conduct successful technology implementation and behavioral change, producing results in reducing significant waste of electricity and/or natural gas.
- Excellence in Resourcefulness—Water: This Excellence in Resourcefulness award applauds a utility's method for addressing resourcefulness through successful technology implementation and behavioral change that results in significant reduction of water usage and water waste.
Recipients of the Excellence in Resourcefulness Awards will receive global recognition as industry leaders and will be subsequently honored at the 2018 Itron Utility Week on October 1, 2018.
