Freshslice Pizza Franchise Promotes Children's Health by Partnering with SickKids

TORONTO, Aug. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Freshslice Pizza is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with SickKids Foundation in support of children's health. "The newly established partnership falls under the company's corporate social responsibility program," said Ian Paterson, president FS Food Services Ontario Inc., owner of the Freshslice Pizza brand in Ontario.

"SickKids is an iconic health care facility, and means so much to our city but and also to so many families," said Mr. Paterson. "Our franchise partners and our own internal network all have strong family focused values and we feel this is a perfect partnership for us. SickKids does so much for families from all over Toronto and the entire country. We are honoured to be associated with SickKids Foundation, and we look forward to supporting them for years to come."

The partnership with SickKids Foundation will consist of both in-store donations and corporate donations through special promotions. This program kicks off in August with a month-long promotion where $2 from every 'Taste for Two' combo meal goes to SickKids. All funds raised during this year-long partnership will be directed towards the Possibilities Fund which enables SickKids to place the funds in the highest priority areas at any given time.

"With our partnership with SickKids, we want people to know our commitment to support children's and family health," said Mr. Paterson.

Freshslice has also received support from on-line ordering partner Just-Eat Canada. Just-Eat Canada will match the $2 donation for all applicable orders placed on-line through their easy to use ordering system. "We're happy to support Freshslice and their partnership with SickKids through this August event." Said Just-Eat Canada.
